WE FEEL FINE: An Almanac of Human Emotion by Jonathan Harris

Around 2006, after Jonathan Harris’s incredible TED Talk about computers, art, and human emotion, I became obsessed with We Feel Fine - it’s his website that catalogues photographs and emotions from the entire internet, creating a taxonomy for the things we say online. I shared the site with my friends, thought about it and how it related to my life, wondered if I could ever stand in the shadows of geekdom or visual art, where Harris is a giant… then a few months ago he emailed me. He found one of my photographs that he really liked, he wanted my permission to include it in the forthcoming WE FEEL FINE book, on the front page of the “Theology and Beliefs” section.

So long story long, I’m featured in Jonathan Harris’ almanac of human emotion, We Feel Fine. If that didn’t feed my narcissism enough, it’s actually a photograph of me with one of my favorite girls in the entire world, Jennie. I’m really grateful to be involved with such an interesting, interactive project, not only to be published, but to be a part of one of the most creative and unique ideas to come from “web 2.0.”
